"SING A NEW SONG: crosses"

As we continue the Sing A New Song series, we want to highlight
the concept of our identification with Christ Jesus and The Kingdom while on Earth.
God and Christ Jesus call upon us to do this at many places within the scriptures,
and we are required to identify (or “Brand”) ourselves with Christ’s sufferings,
His sacrifice, and His ultimate gift of salvation for us.

Symbolically we want to identify each new praise and worship offering in this series
with Christ Jesus and his wonderful life, death and resurrection.

It seemed then only natural that we start with the symbol that represents
both the beginning and the end for our Lord and Savior; the cross.

The cross is the beginning; because ultimately it is the reason that Jesus Christ
was put on this earth for us, and when we accept God’s free gift at the foot
 of the cross we begin our walk with Jesus.

The cross is also the end; because of Christ’s loving sacrifice on that cross,
 conveyed to us in His final words to us, “It is finished”.
So as we end ten wonderful years of the Sing A New Song series Volume 1-10,
we also begin this new Sing A New Song series with the cross,
and we hope this new series helps you to focus your praise and worship
 on God’s wonderful gift to us,
Christ Jesus.
