DARIN MARTIN
Darin is
one of the singers who sings tenor, baritone
and sometimes lead which he has been doing since 1991.
He has a wonderful God given talent
of not only singing, but song writing as well. Some of
the songs God has laid on his heart are:
"All I Ever Did", "No Chances", and
"I Will Meet You There" from the Pieces to
Peace album.
Darin's Testimony: I grew up in a Christian family,
was raised in church and learned early to sing and
enjoy music. It amazes me to look back over my life
and see how God has used me, but I am particularly
amazed at how He brought me into the
Free Indeed Ministry.
To make a long story short, He connected me earlier
with Jon, Julie, and June. He led us across paths again
in college at Harding University, brought us back together
at a youth rally that led to the song "Until Death Do Us Unite".
That was what put us together musically for the first time.
What God is doing in my life: God is using me not only
through the music ministry, but as a full time
special educator. I feel God has put me in my job for
many
purposes. I believe my ministry and mission is as much
in being a
teacher as it is in being in a Christian music group.
How God has helped me through the ministry:
The greatest thing about being involved in
a music ministry is seeing how God can really touch
hearts. He has blessed me so much by giving me words
and music that I can share with others through this
ministry. It is a
continual blessing to have the opportunity
to see people react to words in the songs that we sing.
When someone smiles or cries or closes their eyes as
they listen to songs, it ministers to me because I realize
what a deep impact music can have on people.
My Family:
I am one of three children. I have a
younger sister, Melissa. She is married to Donie and
they have two children, Breanna and Natasha. My
older brother, Bubba died in a car accident in 1995.
He has two children, Mallorie and Lance.
